Today's Virtual Mailbag comes from Gary, who writes to The Wake Up Call: When I first met my girlfriend, I was attracted to her beautiful long hair. I'm a big fan of long hair, but for some reason, she decided to chop it off. It's short. Softball catcher SHORT. She loves it, but I think it looks terrible. Honestly, I'm not as attracted to her now. She looks like a completely different person. Kinda manly. She says she'll eventually grow her hair long again, but it will take months. Any advice in the meantime, or is it pointless to be with someone you're not attracted to? *** Any hairbrain ideas for Gary? Don't leave her. That's proving that you're superficial and selfish. And JoAnn I halfway agree with you. But you're still stupid. A guy just can't will himself to be attracted to something that, frankly, is disgusting. Hair that short is the absolute worst thing a girl can do for her appearance, and that loss of attraction is perfectly normal. Try and stick it out, it may grow on you. (In a similar situation - it's still gross)
