Ever wonder what you look like through someone else's eyes? Women are so critical of ourselves! Did you know only 4% of women around the world consider themselves beautiful?! HOW SAD! Dove started a campaign a few years ago in an attempt to increase this statistic and help women realize that "beautiful" isn't the airbrushed images of celebrities you see on the cover of a magazine. Short, thin, tall, fat, freckles, dimples, cellulite - YOU are beautiful!
You need to see this video! In continuing with their campaign, Dove asked women to describe themselves and had an artist draw a sketch based on that description. A stranger was then asked to describe the same person. The pictures "drawn" by the strangers were not only more kind, but more accurate. Let's be gentler on ourselves, ladies! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!

I've been rocking this Weight Watchers thing off and on for a few years now. For the first time, however, I'm feeling really motivated and like I'm going to really stick with it. This could be the result of one of my best friends getting married in October. She asked me to be the Maid of Honor. Cool, right?
As dedicated as I've been to eating healthy and working out (I'm even running... something I used to hate!), the scale isn't budging. I'm down about 11 pounds and it refuses to move from that number. In my quest to make the numbers go down, I've found a new lunch favorite... They're called "Salad Additions" from Lean Cuisine. They come with everything you need to put on top of your salad (including the dressing)... You just add the lettuce. Delicious! The Southwest Style Chicken is my favorite! Have you tried them?! YUM!
Even if the scale is being slow, at least I have a delicious lunch to look forward to!
I'm totally a betting girl! So, Crockett and I bet lunch on who made the most correct guesses for the CMA Awards tonight! Will you be watching? Who do you think will win? Our votes are below!

What an incredible week! I'm back from one of the most relaxing vacations I've ever been on. My boyfriend, Jon, and I headed up to Narragansett, Rhode Island to hang at the beach, for a few days. If you've never been, put it on your list of vacation spots you need to visit! It was absolutely gorgeous!
Back in town yesterday, we headed to see Jimmy Buffett in Camden, NJ. I've never seen him before, so Jon got me the tickets for my birthday. He swore I've never been to a tailgate like a Buffett tailgate. I party with Kenny Chesney fans every year, though... How different could it really be, right? Wrong. This was the most intense party I've ever been to! People make floats, dress in costumes, one bus even brought their own live band! Check out the pics below. These people know how to have a good time!
All in all, it was really nice to get away. If you find yourself with some time off, take a trip to Rhode Island... and tell Jimmy Buffett I said "hi." You won't be disappointed in either!
And finds MANDLES! I headed to Yankee Candle Friday night and spared Jon the experience of finding the perfect scent for our living room. I feel like this earns me a nomination for "girlfriend of the year." Regardless, we ladies LOVE this challenge. Well, my adventure got a little sweeter when I stumbled upon "mandles" (man candles). I love masculine scents! With choices like 2x4 and Riding Mower, I settled on Man Town and couldn't wait to get it home and light it!
Check this out, though - when Jon got home from work, he remarked "Wow! This whole house smells awesome!" Turns out they do work. :-) Success!
I firmly believe that the people who write the headlines on magazine covers, directly market them to me. Any time you feature a celebrity I'm remotely interested in, followed by the word "Transformation," I'm sold.
If you're one of the lucky ones who can read articles while you stand in line, more power to you. Me, I'm always the "I'm not going to grab a basket because I'm only running in for 2 things" person. In all actuality, I always end up "remembering" other things I need then doing the balancing act so I don't drop them, while in line. Today way no different. Here's my latest Life & Style... Featuring Kelly Clarkson's transformation.
