When I was a kid, the Tooth Fairy used to give me a dollar, a silver dollar if the Tooth Fairy was feeling extra friendly.
We have the results of a study from Visa about how much kids are getting from the Tooth Fairy. And it turns out that this year, the average payment is down 40 cents.
-But today's kids are doing fine . . . they're STILL pulling in about $2.60 per tooth.
--In 2010, the average tooth netted a kid $3. This year it's down to $2.60.
--7% of kids get less than a dollar . . . 29% receive exactly one dollar . . . 18% get between $2 and $4 . . . 18% of kids actually get $5. (WHAT?!! I’d pull out my teeth for that amount!)
